People have noticed a strange habit I have. I have been observed running my fingers along the edges and underneath fitted joinery items. Am I looking for chewing gum they ask?
No I don't use gum. What I'm looking for is the Arris or preferably the lack of the Arris. An Arris is not cockney slang for your backside that is an Aris. The Arris is a sharp edge and should always be rubbed off to prevent leaving an edge that paint or other finished cannot stick to. Think about it, paint can't stick to a corner so leave a gap in the finish. The Arris is also unpleasant to the touch.
So f you want to check the quality of your installation have a feel round for the Arris.
